Has anyone given up sugar?

I've given up a couple of things this year so far - meat (ethical reasons) and fizzy drinks (I was drinking 2L a day and having side effects).

I'd really, really, really like to give up added sugar.

I've given it up in tea and coffee now for about six weeks (and sadly still haven't got used to it Sad).

Has anyone given up added sugar?

Did you go cold turkey or reduce over time?

Do you have any tips to make it easier?

How long has it been and do you still miss it?

Yup. No sweeteners either. No added carbs: pasta, potato rice. Making baked stuff with coconut or almond flour. Lots of eggs and green veg. Had brought my blood sugar right down.

Tea and coffee are still vile though.

I did 3 months no added sugar, it was hard you have to check packets of everything and realise 90% of the supermarket you cannot buy.

Same with eating out you have to accept you won't know.

I am on keto so liquid stevia is something I use in my baking. IT doesn't affect your blood sugar levels so a better alternative.

After 3 months I stopped and introduced a few things back like Nandos sauce as its somehing you have in small quantities haha - but hey through keto I have still reduced how much I have compared to previously.
