Do breastfed babies need burping?

I didn’t think they did and then I had a baby who seems to need winding lots

But I get told breastfed babies don’t need winding

It's easier to wind a bf baby though...just my opinion in my limited experience!

Mine generally didnt, but some do. If they are asleep and content after a feed you dont need to.

Mine did despite MIL and SIL being adamant that breastfed babies didnt (and MIL had 5 children and SIL was a 'qualified nanny' so they would know). DS1 was a nightmare to burp. We ended up giving him gripe water as recommended by the HV.

Yes

I think ds had more wind when bottle fed (both breast and formula) due to how he sucked the bottle
