Piles - how to get rid of them

I’ve had piles playing up now for a couple of weeks, they are feeling sore and keeping me awake at night etc.

When I have had them before they have just gone away on their own but they are not this time.

Any advice on how to get rid, which is the best cream etc?

Boots do a wipe which contains witch hazel. Not a cure, but very soothing after a painful poo.
