Has anyone else received a letter from the ONS offering up to £425 for each member of the household who agrees to be tested for antibodies each week for 4 weeks and then monthly for a year . Has anyone else had a letter? How will they do the nose and throat swab whilst maintaining a 2m distance(which is what it says in the letter)?

No, but I'd like one. I'm bloody skint!

That was my first thought too! You get paid in vouchers after each test you complete so it’s not in one lump sum and you can stop at anytime. Just reread the letter and you have to do the test and answer some questions but that’s it. Seems almost too good to be true!

I think they bring it and wait outside while you swab yourself. Or at least they did that with a survey to see if people currently had covid, I read a post online about it from someone who participated.

But if it’s antibodies, is it still a swab? I thought people on here were saying that was a blood test (finger tip, maybe)

The letter definitely says a nose and throat swab to see if you have had it, have got antibodies. £50 each for the first swab and then £25 for subsequent swabs. If you test positive then they want to take a blood test.

I’d do it. I’m currently on one of the studies and have been tested twice in the last 6 weeks. I’d be quite happy to be paid to give up my time to be tested rather than do it as a volunteer.
