BA refunds/vouchers Random question

We have a holiday booked for October to the USA... at the mo we can’t change it as we booked it before 3rd March.

They are only letting people with bookings up til 31st August change their plans. I’m sure originally the date was 30th June so I’m just trying to gauge how often their review the dates and if/when (based on BAs previous extensions) they will extend this to cover holidays in October?!
Any ideas?!

We had a BA holiday booked for 1st August, they cancelled around the end of June. I called before this (About 11th June) to see if I could move it but as it wasn’t before the 31st July, it was a no.

They said they were reviewing their August trips around the end of June (which obviously they did!)

BA did move my payment date though to the 11th July to give me more time to think about cancelling (and indeed give them time to cancel!) before I had to pay the balance or lose my deposit so maybe try that?

We have a Septembers Florida trip booked and flying BA but holiday arranged through a travel agent. The agent is saying they are advising to pay up the full amount now and wait for it to be cancelled, but we aren’t going to do that because we won’t be going whatever. Such a conundrum to know what to do. We are trying to get them to allow us to just move it to next year but they won’t yet.

Hopefully you will get the news you are hoping for soon.

Hello,

Ive been keeping an eye on several forums for Uk to Florida travel. The main pattern everyone has noticed is cancellations at the end of the month for a couple of months ahead, so at the end of June the majority of flights in August were cancelled.

Im hoping for lots of flights (inc mine) in September to be cancelled at the end of july....

This may change however as more time passes but if your flights are in October, theyre likely to be looked at and cancelled at the end of August.
