Anyone else finding it hard watching other children go to school?

I understand that children of key workers and selected years are back at school and have been back a while. But it’s difficult watching them go past in their school uniform when my 6yo has been stuck at home. She can even hear them playing at playtime from out garden. I do hope when schools go back in September, there is a level playing field again. So key workers no longer get priority, particularly now only one parent has to be a key worker regardless of whether their partner works or not.

Sorry, Upto, reading that back I had a rant, and realised I didnt actually answer your question.
Yes, my Y4 is desperate to go back to school. Mainly because he wants to see some kids that arent his brother (who is Y6, and back part time).

I can deal with PT school for everyone in September, but strongly believe ALL kids should be getting some actual teaching, ideally face to face, come September.

I wonder how many kids are/ will be referring to themselves as “key worker kids” as if it’s a part of their identity.

The kw th I g is hard. Dh isn't a kw, but he can't do his job from home more than about once a week, so was one of the few in his place not furloughed. I'm a kw, but luckily our school did a rota which fit round dh days off. If they hadn't let our kids into a kw hub, then.I.couldn't go back to.work, so there'd be another teacher needed or possibly my school wouldn't be able to let as many kids back.....and round we go.

My son goes to school one day a week but not for a whole day. The only positive I can see to this, is hes reconnecting with his friends. Otherwise its arse about face schooling.
He wants to go back full time but the school isnt doing that yet.
