DS is 18 in a few days,he close a coat and hoodie which I'm hoping will arrive on time! I'm thinking of putting 170 pounds in a card too is that enough?
I have a photo cake ordered, lots of decorations ready to put up and I'm getting him a take away of his choice that evening.
He's not too fussed tbh he's very easy going for his age but I just want to make him happy he's had a tough year .

We gave DSS £250. That was what we could afford for a big birthday. You can afford more, others less.

Don’t overthink it!

I think that's enough but it's a shame theres nothing to keep as a long term momento. How about putting £150 in a card and spending £20-£30 on a pewter tankard from somewhere like F Hinds. He can keep that as a lasting gift and it's a nod to the being able to drink at 18.

@IndiaMay aw yea I forgot I have got him a 18 mug from his sister the reason I didn't get a glass tankard is because he only ever drinks out of cups since he was small hasn't changed!!
