Teen bra fitting

12 year old DD needs properly fitted for a bra. Up to now, she’s been in wee soft bras in a 28AA from M&S but they are too small and she now needs something more structured.

Is M&S my only hope? I would never set foot in an M&S for my own bra fittings so I am reluctant for DD, but is that the only option for teens? We have a Debenhams and House of Fraser in the closest city, but no John Lewis.

I suspect she’d be better in a 26” back but do they even exist?

I tend to buy either in store at Bravissimo or online for myself so no idea where to start for DD.

That’s the one I’ve ordered. If it fits I’ll order another one. Have also ordered the M&S sports bra in a 28c so will see how that fits - if it works then she can wear it on PE days and the lounge bras on other days 🤞

@ScarletZebra you should maybe be ordering larger cup sizes on the smaller back as the C cup is a different size on each of the back sizes you have ordered i.e. 28C has a smaller cup than 30C and therefore a 32C will have a bigger cup size than a 30C.

Measure according to booborbust site and see what size it suggests

We tried the M&S sports bra and a John Lewis one, both in 28C.They're WAY too small for dd sadly. If you find they fit your dd op, PM me and you can have them. They're brand new.

@InvisibleToEveryone that sounds tough. My friend at school was similar and people were pretty cool and she didn't get the attention she worried about but she did struggle with decent sports bras and our school blouses were ridiculous on her. Our school insisted on fitted open neck blouses for girls and they simply weren't fit for purpose.

@Showofhands
Yep, school shirts are a bugger and they have to come from a particular supplier, 2 to a pack at circa £30 a pack....and I think she's in the largest chest size...

Her friends are all wanting bigger boobs and she like no, no you really don't!

She has a cracking figure, very hour glass shape.

Just been in to M&S and bought DD some 30E bras, since that is what she is measuring. They are so tight they won't do up, and when I measured the bra with a tape measure the actual band is 26 " fully stretched.

As the cups fit just fine I have ordered some bra extenders from ebay and we will use them like that. If I swap them for a bigger band size (which is ridiculous) then I've no idea how to get the cups right.
