Drive-in Musicals, how do they work?

Hi sorry to sound so dim but I’m looking at a drive in musical. Has anyone been to one? Is it watching a film of the musical? Or is it on a stage? It’s a lot of money so I’m worried about not feeling the vibe so waiting for it to be shown on stage or will this be the new theatre? Tia but Sorry if this has been asked before.

I’m going to Six in August. We’ve had three shows cancelled so it will be something to look forward to.

It’s a live stage show. The cast (of six) will be living and rehearsing together as a household. They are alternating the London cast and the regional tour cast. You will be allocated a space for your car and an area next to your car where you can sit, stand or dance. My only concern is toilets.

There will be up to 300 cars and there will be screens up like there would be at a pop concert.

There are some places however that are advertising drive in showings of musical films like Grease.

@Comefromaway yes that’s the one that I want to see. Ooo that sounds ok. And it’s so nearby I gotta try and see it. Thanks.

My main concern is toilets. I’m wary of public toilets.
