Private mole/growth check

Hello

Has anyone done this at a clinic in London & would they recommend? I'm concerned about a growth & am looking at a 2-3 wk wait on the NHS. I'm quite anxious & am not sure I can wait that long.

Have you already seen your doctor?
We have been private. Although not London, outskirts of London.
I'd recommend ringing a couple tomoro and finding out their prices and wait times.
I'm not sure if the private sector are keener to do biopsies as it earns them lots of money! We have insurance so have never minded.
Had a few removed and sent off for biopsies and been ok so far.
I have a large mole at the back of my eye and was anxious about it for years. I had first few appointments covered by insurance then paid for another one a year later to put my mind at rest.
I wouldn't hesitate to pay to be seen quicker if I could afford it.
Hopefully it's an a typical mole.

Not London but I have gone for a mole scan privately with Nuffield for a few years now.

Just before lockdown they found one they didn’t like. £500 to have it removed and it turned out to be melanoma in situ. Incredibly glad given the timing with lockdown that I just went ahead and paid for it, rather than go on an NHS list I would likely still be on.

What direction outskirts of London do you mind me asking? Don't have insurance currently but not fussed re cost if I find out what i'm dealing with faster.

@TheMurk thank you, when I google quite a few come up so it's good to have some recommendations. Pleased you caught it in time.

@confusedg I think it’s worth it. I have been about 4 times, annually at first but had a gap for a few years being pregnant and just forgetting to book it, so when I went back this time they had a record of how this mole had changed.

I will phone some & enquire first thing tmw.
