Do you type out a reply to a thread only to delete it all and not bother.

I've done exactly that at least 3 times in the last half hour

Quite often. I just think ‘god I sound like a twat’ or ‘I can’t be bothered with an argument’ 😬😂

Yes exactly this.

The majority of users seem to be up for having a discussion even if it gets heated but there’s always the odd few that are painfully fucking rude and seem to forget they’re speaking to other humans and not some dog shit on the floor. Those users scare the crap out of me.

MistyMinge2 · 07/07/2020 19:05

Quite often for the same reasons above. I often stop and think, I don't actually give a shit about any of this so why am I bothering to reply.

JimMaxwellantheshippingforcast · 07/07/2020 19:06

Actually it's the "can't be bothered with an argument" that makes me delete what I've written most of the time

Yes to this! Being torn to shreds about something like your views on parking wears really thin!

BlusteryLake · 07/07/2020 19:08

I often start typing and decide I can't be bothered investing in it, or sometimes I realise that what I am saying is quite outing!

Yep this is what I do, type a reply then realise I really couldn't give a shit so don't bother!

Same here. It's so tempting to call people up on things you disagree with, but then you remember that nobody ever changes their mind or backs down on the internet. So what's the point? I actually feel happy when I remember that before I bother posting.

Babs709 · 07/07/2020 19:13

I don’t like the whole “my DH left his socks on the floor” “WELL MY DH IS DEAD SO COUNT YOURSELF LUCKY” thing, as I see people often mention.

But I think my least favourite is the shitting on anyone else’s happiness. Talk of baby showers and gender reveals makes me roll my eyes very dramatically but I don’t think I’ve ever once commented on one of those threads, I just walk away. Similarly people seem to get criticised for talking about “dream weddings” or celebrating birthdays and the like.

RoseMartha · 07/07/2020 19:18

Most times when I am here I will do that at least once.

In fact a few minutes ago a message would not post and i gave up and didnt bother.

Davros · 07/07/2020 19:20

Quite often. I just think ‘god I sound like a twat’ or ‘I can’t be bothered with an argument’ 😬😂 and I realise I don't give a shit. Did it at least twice yesterday

SoftBlocks · 07/07/2020 19:23

A lot. Quite often it’s because several people have already said the same thing ...

lljkk · 07/07/2020 19:28

A fair amount... with work emails, too.
