Defrosted chicken

Christ, this is boring. Sorry.

I got a pack of chicken thighs out of the freezer last night, put them in the fridge to cook this eve for dinner.

Only Dh announces that he’s got a voucher from work for takeaway that needs to used today.

Do you reckon the chicken will be ok in the fridge
For tomorrow? Or do I need to cook the chicken curry tonight and leave that in the fridge for tomorrow?

If I defrost chicken, I ensure I eat it by day 3. I've not died yet.

Did you freeze them as soon as you got them or had they been in the fridge for a few days first?

Cupcakegirl13 · 07/07/2020 14:39

If they’ve been in the fridge defrosting the whole time they’ll be fine

I’d be tempted to cook it and then put the meal in the fridge. But I wouldn’t fret if it was the other way around.

I always cook any meat on the day it's thawed. It will last 2-3 days in the fridge once cooked.
I would not risk leaving it in there raw.

@TheFlis12345 frozen the day I bought them.

I'd leave it raw for up to 2 days in my fridge. I do that a lot

In that case, they should definitely be fine to leave until tomorrow and cook then.
