Inspiration needed please, what are we going to DO all summer?

the holiday we had booked looks like it's not going to go ahead. (No outgoing flight running) while I was nervous of travelling it was the only thing in the diary.

Have 4Dc age 6-12
Wtf am I going to do with them all summer
I have no ideas of fun things to do

I definitely agree with letting them get bored sometimes. Personally by 12, I wouldn't have enjoyed enforced fun- I was a massive bookworm and pop music aficionado by then!

With my 3yo I'm basically going with a general mixture of playground, woodland, river/beach each week depending on the weather. Thankfully we will have nursery twice per week as well though.

Loads of places are open now - theme parks, zoos, swimming pools. Spend the summer going to all the places you havent been able to visit recently
