Will we be able to go to Ireland in August?

We want to have a week's family holiday in August but at the moment the ROI has a 14 day quarantine on visitors arriving there from abroad.

Does anyone have any idea whether they might change that in the next few weeks?

Any intel would be gratefully received.

Here’s the link to the form you need to fill out on arrival in Ireland and the restrictions you are expected to observe for the first 2 weeks of your visit. The restrictions include not meeting people or going into shops and staying home as much as possible. Your English reg and accents will be obvious and people may ask you where/when you have quarantined. Some restaurants in more touristy areas are asking tourists for their arrival details before taking bookings.
The further opening of pubs has been delayed by 3 weeks so I wouldn’t bank on the restrictions lifting soon.

Can I just ask someone who knows, is the UK not on the Green List? Seems like Norway etc is, but not the UK? That link was helpful, but I'm confused about this point. We are due to arrive in ROI by coach in September, and have to pay the balance in a few days. I fully anticipate the company are not going to cancel at this stage, so we'll end up paying and seeing what happens. TIA. Sorry for hijack.

No the UK isn't on the green list, the 14 day self-isolation still applies
