Relocating to Rotherham or surrounding area

We will be relocating to Rotherham, or one of the surrounding areas in a couple of months.

Does anyone have any advice as to areas that are nice and safe for families to live in please?

Also I have a very active 9yr old boy. Can any give me some advice as to what's available in the area for him to do please? Sports clubs, Cubs or other things.

We lived on the Wickersley / Flanderwell area for a few years about 15 years ago. Wickersley is a lovely area with many families.

I cant tell you now whats its like but we didnt have any issue. I worked for Wickersley Parish Council at the time which were involved in making the area nicer for families.
