Anyone had this weird computer experience?

I sent some photos of my children to my FIL recently. He forwarded them to his wife. When she opened the email, our photos were gone and replaced with three totally random photos - two look like “posed” shots of children (fully clothed in daft positions) and one is of three small children weeing in a garden (one is unclothed).

None of these photos are from us and I just cannot understand how they can have got onto his email? He swears they’re nothing to do with him.

Any thoughts as to how this could have happened?

Is it possible your FIL has forwarded the wrong email, and either doesn’t realise or isn’t admitting it?

I don’t think so because he said the message was attached and also, he wouldn’t have to tell me, I wouldn’t even know whether he had forwarded it or not.

It does make me feel weirdly uncomfortable but I have never had the slightest concern before and neither has DH.

Perhaps Fil has been downloading images of children and has forwarded them by mistake. I'd want to get to the bottom of this 😐

I would love to get to the bottom of it too, but just can’t figure out how. Or even if this was dodgy, why he would even mention it to me because if he hadn’t said anything, I wouldn’t know.
I have never had the slightest concerns before but I just can’t see how totally random images would get attached to an email that I have sent.

Very odd that one of them is of children peeing?

Not computer but a few years ago mil was looking after ds2 and got his hair cut, I got a text message from a number I didn't recognise but it was of ds2 and his new hair cut. I sent a message back saying it looked good etc then got a message back asking "who is this" I thought mil must have changed her number but it wasn't her! I never found out who it was either.
