Does anyone have one and if so, tell me about it including how much you use it.

Bought one early in lockdown thinking it would be good for outdoor visitors. Its a quite attractive chimnnea.
Never used it so far.....

We have a chiminea - use it a fair bit through may - sep. Usually if we have had friends round for a bbq or drinks and are outside and it gets cooler as the sun sets so get a fire warm. Kids love to roast a few marshmallows too.

That being said, looking to get a heater instead due to the smoke/smell so would recommend skipping the chiminea step for a heater if able to

DH loves it. He is shielding and he gets to play with fire once a week and really looks forward to his pyromania evening. I toast marshmallows and waffles then pour chocolate sauce over them. Simple pleasures.

We use our fire pit every week. Well, when it's not raining, of course! Grin

Love it, it's really good to sit around the fire pit in when it's dark.

I bought a very heavy, cast iron chiminea, used it a few times. Quite exciting to start with. When it was roaring away it looked like Stevenson's Rocket! Then we got a summerhouse and couldn't be bothered with it anymore. I gave it away to a friend four years ago and I see it hasn't moved from where he unloaded it from his car!

Used our chimnea loads during lockdown, means you can sit outside for a bit longer when it gets dark without freezing. Teens have had friends round for drinks/marshmallow toasting. We use the smoke free logs in paper, they’re brilliant.
