How do you watch your tablet/iPad in bed?

If you're someone who does all your film and TV series watching at night in bed, how do you prop up your device?

I've never really found a good solution for propping a Samsung tablet up in bed. I've had half a dozen of the ordinary rotating cases which do stand up at the right angle and just about stay in place on the duvet on my lap - but they're usually cheap tat and a bit bulky, the support bit always bends after a while, and they never have a charging port cutout. I've also tried one of those tablet pillows, but the angle was never right, the tablet slipped around and it was very unwieldy.

We don't have the type of bed for a clamp on type, and my tablet is quite heavy.

The best one I've seen is only available from the US and its £40, I'm not that desperate! It's more of a cushion lap tray with a stand affixed...there are cushion lap trays with a slot for a tablet, but they look a bit shit.

I tend to lay fairly flat with my head propped up on pillows agony on the neck after a few hours of Netflix with the tablet on its crappy bendy case resting on my tummy/thighs, but I usually need a hand to steady it.

Has anyone found anything really good?

I've got a folding stand that alllows the iPad to stand up by itself

I have a little bamboo v-shaped iPad stand from ikea.

updated to a laptop ow though as I couldn't work online with that damned keyboard.

the laptop is lighter and easier to live with if I'm honest, although you'd think a tablet would be.
its weird.

as you can see my typos have not improved much since switching from iPad to laptop.Grin

I go for a low tech solution - I prop up my Samsung tablet on the stand that folds down from its case and balance it on a cushion.

Hmm, I've seen the V-shaped stand but I can't see it being very stable on the duvet...

Maybe I'll bite the bullet and try one of those iBeanie cushion things.

Cheers for the comments Smile
