Does anyone else have a physically exhausting job?

Just that really!

So many people I know seem to have jobs that are mentally very tiring and difficult (desk based) but that involve very little physical activity. I totally get it is still very much possible to be exhausted after a stressful and hard day even though you don't have to move much but sometimes it feels like I'm the only one that is SO physically worn out by the end of the day.

Had a very long and busy day today. Really hard work, lots of effort involved lifting and carrying heavy things, lots of walking and was on my feet the whole day. Feel so, so depleted now, I have absolutely nothing left in the tank. Please tell me I'm not the only one and there are other people out there who work like this too?!

Me. I stand all day up and down stairs, lifting stock around, walking all over sales floors.

I dream of a sit down job.

Sounds like my day lifting, carrying, walking. I'm knackered at the end of it
On the plus side I burn over 2500 calories a day just through work!

I don't have a job again because of corona, but my last job I was on my feet all day working in a shop and it was very physically tiring. My previous job was mentally tiring but still it was less stressful than dealing with customers!
