If you had an underpants refuser, did they ever capitulate?

Intransigent small boy, 3.7, going to school nursery in September (supposed to be anyway, covid pending!) And since he was potty trained, has steadfastly refused to wear underpants.

I've tried boxers and proper undies, in a variety of sizes. I thought it might have been the labels so unpicked them (rather than cutting them out) and still no joy.

He just doesn't like underpants. Do they grow out of it or is it just one of those things?!

Mine capitulated in the face of Teletubbies pants.

This was nearly 30 years ago mind

But getting some kecks with his favourite character on and just leaving them around might help. Or, ‘You can Only watch Superduck if you’re wearing Superduck pants ...’

My DS used to have a problem with pants and would always be fidgeting and pulling at his pants

One day he was playing in just his pants and started pulling at them and I looked and realised his septum skin was trapped in the elastic

I realised that there just wasn't enough fabric in them to contain all his bits. If you look at boy pants there isn't enough frontage at all

I got him some shorts and they were much better, although he is a fidgeted with clothes generally ( yes labels out, soft shorts etc)

Obviously it was his scrotum skin not his septum skin trapped in his pants

Ds stopped quite soon after being toilet trained, and then didn't wear pants until secondary school. He's fussy about being clean (e.g. would have to change his top right away if he spilt something on it, wouldn't do finger painting) so never any issues with cleanliness!

Peacocks sell seamless pants. They're the only ones my son will wear.
