Hi ,
This is my first post and wanted advice if possible .
My partner has received a letter today from his council wanting to know if I live at the address which has my full name on and we've no idea where or why they have this .
I have been here since lockdown as we have been furloughed and our children are not at school so thought it best to stay together .
I intend on moving back to my residence before the children return to school In September as I reside 100 miles away and will do so until by eldest finishes his GCSE's
My question is should he now be liable for council tax not at his 25% reduction because I've been staying ?
Thanks for any replies

He should write back that you are not resident there but required to stay temporarily in the latter part of lockdown due to childcare issues and will shortly e returning home. Someone has probably said something.

If you are registered for Council Tax at another property there shouldn't be a problem AFAIK. Especially with C V restrictions. Just write and explain or phone.

Thanks both ,
I'm certain it's his ex wife and her partner who he separated from over four years ago 🙄 He's going to call tomorrow and hopefully it will all be sorted .
