Pregnant after miscarriage

Hi all I had a miscarriage 3 weeks ago it was natural the last day I went to the hospital they said everything was all fine. The bleeding lighten loads once I passed baby and stopped within 3 days I have been having cramps since it happened the hospital never said anything to me like dont have sex for a while or anything. So we have had it a few times since all bleeding finished and I felt ready again. I'm just wondering did anyone get pregnant straight after a miscarriage and was everything okay and when did you find out roughly. I'm not sure about ovulation pain as I'm still having cramps on my left side since I had miscarriage

Yes, I got pregnant straight after a miscarriage. I had to have an ERPC as it was a missed miscarriage, procedure was straightforward and they told me my period should return within 5 to 6 weeks. It still hadn't returned after 7 weeks, I took a pregnancy test and it was positive, pregnancy was definitely confirmed with a blood test (as I was worried it might have been leftover hormones giving a positive). Healthy baby boy is now 15 months old Grin

I think the advice is to wait for a period before TTC again but from everything I read it's more for pregnancy dating purposes than anything else.

Good luck.

@TwistedSisters thank you it's been 4 weeks exactly since I started bleeding and 3 and half since I passed baby. I stopped bleeding after 3 days of passing baby so I havent a clue when the period will return I have had constant cramps in my left side and the last week they have got worse so I dont no if that's a sign that's it's coming or if I ovulated and my body is still tender. Think if my period comes I might wait a few months to try again

Sorry for your loss.

I had a missed miscarriage and ERPC. It took about a week for the bleeding to stop and I ovulated about a month later. I think my hormones needed to settle down after the loss, which is why my cycle was longer. I had a DS 9 months later!!!

Good luck.
