I'm terrible and often stay up till 1am, sometimes 2am. This result is just sleeping for about 5.5hrs before Up with the DC.
Its become a terrible habbit and from tonight , I will be sorting myself out with a new routine.
I've bought some news books to read before bedtime , as I'm terrible for scrolling through social media o my phone once DC are in bed!

Between 9 and 10:30.

Got an early rising toddler so anything after 10 is no good for me really but sometimes I get sucked in by tv / chilling on the sofa!

Try to be in bed by 11 in the week, but it can be 1 or 2 on the weekend, including Sunday night. I just can't go to bed early on Sunday night as I need to drag the weekend as long as I can. Pre lockdown, I used to have one or two nights a week when I'd be so tired I'd have to go bed almost straight after dinner to make up for not quite getting enough sleep overall. Something that started in my 40s.
I have a reminder on my computer telling me to wind down at 10.45 but I often ignore it.

10.15 - 10.30pm normally. 12pm in lockdown. I'm a lazy git though Grin

I’m a bit rubbish as I often go at gone 1am then really struggle the next day. I justify it by telling myself I need time to wind down & often DD11 doesn’t settle til at least 11pm. She has attachment disorder & is extremely anxious. Ideally I would try to be in bed by 11pm

Currently around 11/11.30pm when I literally can’t keep my eyes open anymore. DP needs much less sleep than I do and he’ll go to bed around midnight which annoys me so much but I know I’m unreasonable to complain

I am going about midnight as I need some time away from the kids. When they are at school I tend to go around ten.

TwilightPeace · 04/07/2020 15:00

I go to bed around 9. Put my phone at the other side of the room. Then I just lie and chill and drift off by 10.
I love my sleep and know how important it is.

Our family is split between larks and owls. I want to be asleep by 10pm every night because I am currently starting work at 6am. Unfortunately DH and DD1 are owls and are up chatting till way after that, they get yelled at to go and chat in the kitchen so they don't keep me awake.

Asleep by 10 during the week, weekends I have a bad habit of watching shite tv until 1am
