I know there have been loads of threads about JK’s brave words on feminism but I also wanted to start a thread to celebrate her wonderful story as it draws to a close

Dd, at 12, is at the upper end of the age it’s aimed at but we have both been rapt at the storytelling. We’ve been at loggerheads a lot in lockdown but we have read it together and she has had a go at the drawing competition.

I’ve enjoyed the political echoes of a country brought low with a vain, out-of-touch leader and a malign and sneaky adviser! How did you all like the Ickabog?

Big fan here. Is it sad to want the weekend to hurry up, as I would like to read new chapters? Grin

Ha, yes! Early in the week DD and I read it together in the evening but towards the end of the week I’m on late shift and I read it myself when I get in!

Am hoping for a happy ending but it has been very dark in places!
