Hand Maidens Tale...worth a watch?

So want to binge watch something. Been recommended...
Ozark or Hand Maidens Tale.

What would your choice be?

Handmaids is about the darkest thing I’ve ever watched. I’ve not finished Season 3, I needed a break.

Handmaids Tale is brilliant. I knew the book well anyway. Series 1 follows the book strongly but is a bit deconstructed and added to, but works well.

It's supposed to be a disutopia, but is very credible because the basis of it is that it constains nothing that hasn't been done by society before...

Very, very credible at the moment. Scarily so. I'm not sure I'm keen to rewatch it until we're back to a real normal.

Handmaidens tale is good and the most frightening thing is every thing in it it has actually happened or is happing still.

Sorry to hijack, but if I loved both Handmaids Tale and Ozark, what should I watch next?

They're both quite dark. As in, literally. I couldn't bloody see a thing on screen. it's the way they're filmed.

But anyway, Handmaid's Tale is in a different league for me. I only watched the first series of both it and Ozark though.

Handmaids is brilliant. Even if you've read the book the first series is excellent and series 2 even better. Utterly addictive stuff, if slightly terrifying.

@Discoballs - watch The Sinner S1 and S2 on Netflix, don't bother with S3, also Tin Star on Sky.

I love Handmaids but it's a bit too dark given the current situation so get into Ozark - it's bonkers and frustrating but the acting is so good and the characters just drawn you in, it's never boring and your mouth will drop open at some of the things they do (mainly Darlene). Watch it now!

Not sure if this is anyone’s cup of tea but I have really loved the last kingdom (Vikings) on Netflix. 4 seasons. Beautiful men. 😍

Handmaids tale was absolutely amazing but the book was so much better. I got it on audiobooks and it just blew me away. I watched it before this current situation but watching it now would be even more chilling with everything we have been through these last months! Wish I could watch it for the first item all over again. Series 4 is coming soon though!!
