Help me - prosecco / fizz gift

I don't really drink it. But am off to the supermarket to get a bottle for a colleagues birthday tomorrow. Just a token really but because I don't drink it I don't want to get one that is deemed 'not nice' tasting. Could anyone help me?

I prefer Cava to Prosecco.

I’d buy whatever has the biggest mark down and the nicest looking bottle. Some will taste drier than others but most prosecco drinkers I know aren’t particularly fussy

Marks do a prosecco and chocolate gift box. Whats your budget.

IMO Prosecco is a cheap "drinks with the girls" thing. Cava is a great everyday fizz but actual Champagne is a different class. Depends how much you want to spend really

Where are you going shopping? Tesco do a nice one called plaza centro.

Thanks all. I have just arrived at sainsbury's. Happy to spend whatever really (within reason!)
I do drink it if given a glass as a toast but I never buy it generally so no idea where to start 🤣 will have a look through your tips!

Freixenet do a Prosecco which is in a lovely, unusual looking bottle which is nice and looks expensive but is reasonably priced for a gift.
