Our flights to Spain at the end of the month have been cancelled which is fine, we will get a refund from the airline.
However we had already paid for Spanish hotel on a non refundable booking. Hotel won't refund (obviously) but have offered a voucher or for us to rebook. To be honest I don't think I want to do either and just want money back.
I've made a claim on travel insurance but not cancelled the hotel yet as if insurance won't pay I'll take the voucher. But will insurance pay out of hotel confirm we haven't cancelled?
Also would insurance pay out if they find out a voucher has been offered which I declined?
