Is anyone else having trouble with their vip sale slot? I’ve been on since 4.30 but it keeps freezing and won’t let me check out. About to give up but just wondering if anyone else is having problems?

i had issues when i tried to book my slot. it's at 7 so I'll see!

They have put on their Facebook page that they are having issues that they are trying to rectify, so asking people to keep trying. They have many angry comments on the post.

My 5:30 slot is now 6:30. Apparently they are having technical issues....

Oh glad it’s not just me then! Not much consolation though. I had some really good stuff for Dd and ds and I could do with a bargain at the minute!! Will try again later although I doubt there will be much left. Good luck to everyone else though.
I would love to hear how everyone gets on. Will update later.
Was so pleased to get a 4.30 slot!

Yes, my 6pm slot is now 18:20
Says server not responding
Obviously they’re very, very busy
I went through the preview yesterday and have made a note of the reference numbers so should (hopefully) be in and out quickly.....depending on if and when I can get in

I’m stuck on the ‘in the queue’ screen which is a fresh hell I’ve never had with next before. Usually it’s slow and groany but works. I reckon they’ve change the system to a queueing one (like aldi have) and it’s all gone tits up.

Trending on Twitter.. total nightmare. Think folk who did get in lost baskets full of stuff 🤔 I had 6pm slot and still in queue

Managed to get nothing in my 4,30 slot.
I was so organised with all the numbers of everything I wanted written down 😂
Will have no chance of getting the things now.

I just came onto Mumsnet while waiting in the ‘queue’ my Next VIP slot and lo and behold I found this thread. I won’t hold my breath then! I guess people are anticipating some good stuff due to them being shut.

So slow and then couldn’t check out with the very few bits that were in stock. Now in a queue and hoping to get back on again.

I eventually got a few bits by doing multiple orders.
My first full basket was lost when I went to check out.
I had numbers of what I wanted so didn’t have to browse. Once I managed to get a few things to actually go into the basket I checked out.
Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn’t but at least I got a bit. It seemed to be working a bit better later on so maybe those going on later will be lucky enough.

My slot was 7pm and i am still in queue to get on, i haven't had this trouble before.

I’ve never had any bother before and I’ve had a vip slot for years.
I can’t get out to shops easily due to poor health so Next has always been my go to for anything needed.
I just looked at their Facebook page. So many unhappy people.
Not really good enough.

I must have been one of the lucky ones. Had a 430pm slot but I know from previous vip sales that their countdown timer is always a few minutes ahead so logged into account at 4.26pm and got everything I had on my list and finished before my slot starting time.

Went back a few minutes later because I thought I’d missed something of my list and it was really slow loading, reminded me of when I used to vip sale shop when dds were younger 😂

It may be that they’ve given out more slots than normal and the site can’t deal with it, but some really good bargains at 70% off.

I had 6pm slot but was put into a queue. Finally, got access to site at 7.30pm. Managed to get a few bits but a lot of stock was out of stock by then or 7-8 week waits for delivery!

My slot was meant to be at 19.30 tonight. I have an email to prove it. So I go on the site at 19.28 to be put into a queue. After about 15 minutes I am allowed in to the site where it shows that my slot starts at 22.30. I am furious about this as I will be in bed by then.
I have no idea why my slot was changed, but I was not notified about it.
Still it will save me ordering stuff that I will never receive

My 6:30 slot just let me in and then said 'lost place in queue'. probably going to be a load of shite now anyway

I got the same. Very nice touch from Next there, most companies wouldn't bother.
