Vague primary school memories

Finally. FINALLY. After 30-odd years of intermittent searching, I have found a much-coveted board game from the early 80s that Lynne Perry once brought into primary school for the end of term shenanigans. Rings on your fingers (1982).

Anyone have something else that they have a vague memory of but can't find?

I remember that game!

Do you really @Dementedswan ?

I really, really needed to find it. I think it's had an unhealthy influence on my jewellery choices.

I had or played that game! I remember it clearly. What a flashback.

Lucky you @gerbo

I thought it was magical at the time. Loved it!

Yes, magical is the right word. I was born in 77. I think we had this at home and I remember loving the jewels, either that or a friend had it.

What was that one with all the little yellow different shapes, that you had to put in the right holes in a red board, before the timer ran out and it flipped them all off?! It’s just come back to me that I loved that game!

Proudpeacock · 30/06/2020 19:23

Brutus that was perfection. I had it for Christmas 1985. It remains one of the greatest disappointments of my life as I desperately wanted Guess Who.

BrutusMcDogface · 30/06/2020 22:12

Haha! I found the link straight away and almost bought it! 🤣

I hope you eventually got your Guess Who?!

MissPiggee · 01/07/2020 04:38

I loved Guess Who but didn't have the ring game. I was nto born until 1982. I think I would have loved it though. I have a vague memory (may be my head making it up) of a slightly later (late 80s?) game like that with rings but much flashier bigger rings with plastic jewels? I wonder if it were a slightly alter version of the same game? I think it was called Fashion RIngs or something naff like that.

Or am I dreaming?

Gingerkittykat · 01/07/2020 05:16

The toy I always wanted was the Simon game

MissPiggee · 01/07/2020 05:32

The Simon game reminds me of Bop It!

I wanted Operation. And Mouse Trap.
