How to soothe a sore and itchy scalp?

It’s mainly along my parting (hairdresser back in November said it was red and dry and irritated) then it kind of went away but it’s back again now. I’ve taken photos and it looks red from what I can see. I just want the itching and soreness to stop. (It’s not nits - kind of wish it was as I have a treatment I could use and be relied free) I haven’t got any new products although over lockdown I have washed it less and used more dry shampoo which I’m wondering if that’s the problem.

I can highly recommend the Body Shop's ginger shampoo and conditioner for this. I only need to use occasionally.

Speak to your pharmacist OP. They may suggest something like Nizoral or Selsun shampoos and/or rubbing your scalp (overnight) with 2-3 drops of tea tree oil diluted in a tablespoon on a carrier oil (eg almond oil). Don't put near T-tree on your scalp.

Don't put NEAT T-tree on your scalp.

Another vote for Body Shop’s ginger range - it’s fantastic.
