Look inside their house!

The husband and wife team, Mark and Patricia McCloskey, are both personal injury lawyers. They were in the news a couple of days ago because they held guns up to a group of protesters in Missouri.

This is the inside of their house/mansion

Vulgar.

Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese · 30/06/2020 07:26

Errrrm, yes. That's some God-awful individual decor.

KatherineJaneway · 30/06/2020 07:28

I quite like it. I'd almost expect Colin Firth to come round the corner at any moment.

ConstanceSalinger · 30/06/2020 07:30

I find it difficult to believe they have a need for a 16 seat dining table. They surely can't have that many friends with their behaviour?

Noworrieshere · 30/06/2020 07:38

I bet in a house that size they have a few normal rooms they actually live in. They don't sit there and watch tv of an evening. They have a plain magnolia living room with a battered old sofa somewhere.
I think it's gorgeous but I wouldn't want to live in it

justanotherneighinparadise · 30/06/2020 07:47

Lovely!

thisstooshallpass · 30/06/2020 07:49

Brilliant example of 'money doesn't buy style'

maras2 · 30/06/2020 07:50

Looks like 'Goldie Lookin Chain' won the lottery. Wink

TheMandalorian · 30/06/2020 07:51

Looks like a museum. I couldn't live in it. Clearly delusions of grandeur.

BrexitBingoGenerator · 30/06/2020 08:05

Looks like they've gone on holiday to Italy, decided that they'd like a Palazzo and then had one made for them. It looks so impersonal and fake but if that floats their boat then more cool them, I suppose!

A real Italian Palazzo would have had a militia of mercenary soldiers from across Europe though, so they kind of fell down on that front. A walmart automatic rifle and a flashy handgun don't really fit with the aesthetic.

ArbitraryNameChange · 30/06/2020 08:07

Evidence that money cannot buy you class

BaronessBomburst · 30/06/2020 08:11

Which era exactly is it trying to be? There's mediaeval, baroque, everything all jumbled up. Confused

BattyBettysBiccy · 30/06/2020 08:18

What in Gods name is this!!!!

Horrific

Livpool · 30/06/2020 08:18

Money can't buy taste or class (as per their behaviour)

megletthesecond · 30/06/2020 08:20

That's horrible. Like it's owners.

SillyMoomin · 30/06/2020 08:20

They’ve restored it - it’s from the 1890’s and was covered in carbon.

Article about the renovation of the house

KeepingPlain · 30/06/2020 08:21

@BattyBettysBiccy

That's a pheasant, although I don't get why it's ontop of a pile of what looks like bread 😂 pheasant sandwich?

I don't mind it too much, but it doesn't look like a home. More like a museum.

Atalune · 30/06/2020 08:27

It’s...quite comical! A bit downtown abbey, a bit Bond villain, a bit Modge podge on the antiques!

Letthemysterybe · 30/06/2020 08:42

I wouldn’t want to live there, but that’s pretty incredible and not what I expected! I was imagining something much more modern and bling.

DuineArBith · 30/06/2020 08:45

I don't understand why anyone wanted to create a Renaissance palazzo in the US in 1890, let alone doing it again now. It was a purely artificial construct both times round. It looks dreadfully uncomfortable; I hope for their sake that they do indeed have a magnolia sitting room with comfy sofas somewhere, to say nothing of modern bathrooms.

Sweetmotherofallthatisholyabov · 30/06/2020 08:48

I store our stuffed pheasant atop a pile of bread rolls. Quite frankly I'm not sure where else you'd put it? I suppose you could have it straddle the gravy boat but then where would you keep the stuffed aardvark?

Timeandtune · 30/06/2020 08:55

What surprises me is that the house seems to be right beside the street . No drive way or gates. If I had that amount of money ( and those abhorrent views) I would want a bit of privacy.

fuckinghellapeacock · 30/06/2020 09:00

They looked like those 'wicker man' neighbours from the purge! Absolutely horrible.
