How does a gyne telephone appointment work? Any experience?

I have a cervical polyp and the outpatient appointment I've got on Friday is now a telephone consultation. The appointment was to remove the polyp, but I'm pretty sure they can't do that over the phone.

I'm sorry I really don't know. My guess is it will be some form of triage gauging how serious your polyp might be and how urgently you need to be seen in person. I'm not sure what that sort of criteria will be? Possibly general health, pain, bleeding and medical and gynae history?

Just didnt want to leave you unanswered even though my guess is as good as yours Flowers

I imagine it will just be cancelled before that.

The receptionist will more than likely call you

Appointments went ahead, basically checking when last smear was and said they'll send out a letter when they are seeing patients, probably next month.
Our local hospitals have had zero covid for a couple of weeks. Every outpatient apart from cancer care has been cancelled, the backlog must be huge. I'm surprised my dentist managed to open well before hospital outpatients clinics.

I honestly think if you can explore private options. NHS is useless
