DH and his DB due an unexpected inheritance from a relative who sadly died earlier this year. No house sale involved and the will has been updated recently with clear instructions on beneficiaries and is apparently straightforward. Estate is mainly in cash though with several banks and is just below IHT threshold.
Executor has just applied for probate but none of us have any idea if the process will be delayed because of coronavirus impact on gov services.
Just wondering if anyone has any recent experience?
BIL is in dire straits financially and with a life limiting illness so this money will make a huge difference to his life.
