Thinking about Retraining, I'm 45

As the title says I am thinking about retraining. So as not to dripfeed, I've got an upper second in Sociology from Warwick, graduated in 1996. Admittedly I did the wrong degree, then drifted into Secretarial work which I never enjoyed that much, was temping before I had my kids. Since having my kids I have done merchandising/mystery shopping/website evaluating on a self-employed basis, which at times has been quite lucrative and at times not. I also had a brief spell of doing bank admin work at a local hospital which ended badly and I've lost a lot of confidence on the way. I know marketing/resarch type of work is for me but realise that I probably need to do a course, either at college or unit. I'm aware that it sounds like a pipe dream but need to do something as I'm utterly sick of worrying about the future, pensions etc, feeling like a failure, being self-employed where noone has got my back. I was wondering if anyone could direct me to any relevant resources. Another idea I have is library work. Any advice would be welcome. I know I need to find a good careers advisory service somewhere, so if anyone could recommend anyone in the Sutton area that would be great. My aim would be to start a course in September 2021 when my youngest Son starts secondary school.
