Hello you lovely lot, thread 5 here we go!

Post a few lines from a song, 70s, 80s, 90s & let us guess the singer & the title.

You're v generous with the amount of lyrics you give, coffee. I think I'm being kind if I post 2 lines

CoffeeBeansGalore · 07/07/2020 22:56

Am I making them too easy? I love it when some lyrics almost sing themselves off the page Grin

As we move towards another full thread, can I cheekily put up a vote to coffee being the OP again on the next one?

No insult to previous OPs (including myself), but
Coffee has been very diligent at putting up loads of lyrics to make us all happy

I do too.

But then the other fuckers get them 😤

In prosecco-world, other posters only get the lyrics I don't know or that don't immediately come to me Grin

The Drifters did a much earlier version of Under the Boardwalk . Not sure if that was the original (1960's maybe?)

CoffeeBeansGalore · 07/07/2020 23:07

Thank you for the vote @ProseccoBubbleFantasies. I am happy to continue as OP but will gracefully step aside if anyone else fancies a go. Smile

@ProseccoBubbleFantasies - yes, you’re right that it’s Me and Julio, but it’s not from the Graceland album. Graceland was mid 80s, this one’s early 70s. But we’re not playing guess the album so it’s still full points to you! Smile

KatherineJaneway · 08/07/2020 07:16

Baby, hold me tight
'Cause you can make it right
You can shoot me straight to the top
Give me love and take all I got to give

KatherineJaneway · 08/07/2020 07:17

I was never satisfied with casual encounters
I can't hide my need for two hearts that bleed
With burning love
That's the way it's got to be

ProseccoBubbleFantasies · 08/07/2020 07:31

The top one is Fame!

LadyGAgain · 08/07/2020 07:39

@xsquared

Decade breach according to the title of this thread but I have one:

Cause I'm trying to explain
Something's wrong, you just don't sound the same.

90s

Morning everyone. Don't know what the last few are, but I don't think anyone has got mine yet from yesterday.
CoffeeBeansGalore · 08/07/2020 11:43

Morning all. A little fun one from me. Orginally 60s, but numerous covers over our time period 😁

She was afraid to come out in the open
And so a blanket around her she wore
She was afraid to come out in the open
And so she sat bundled up on the shore
