Would house number 69 put you off moving

Ok- I don't know if it is because I don't want to move and am making excuses but I have a potential mutual exchange lined up but the door number is 69.
I don't know why, but I am thinking this is a reason not to consider a house that offers for us, more than what is on the homeswapper website!

@JustC

69 is fine. Now 666 might put me off 😁
At 666, there lives a Mr Miller. He's a local vicar and a serial killer.

That songs stuck in my head now.

intheningnangnong · 27/06/2020 22:10

I live at 13, it did make me pause

letsgomaths · 27/06/2020 22:15

I've lived at two number 13's.

Just think how many houses with number 69 there must be in any big city: in London, there are probably more than twenty thousand of them. Would they all have the same problem?

There's also a Penistone Road in London.

JustC · 27/06/2020 22:17

OP, if you rename it, you can use a horizontal 69 and call it 'pisces cottage/house'. I've seen it used like that to represent pisces.

Foobydoo · 27/06/2020 22:19

@michelle1504

My friend in primary school lived in number 69 and we used to sing that song by 'Space' ..." in number 69 there lives a transvestite, he's a man by day but he's a woman at night". Sorry your post just right that memory back and made me giggle!
🤣🤣 We have just put this on, not heard it for years.
RAOK · 27/06/2020 22:19

I’d love it!

Amibannedorwhat · 27/06/2020 22:26

I also would love it but then I’m quite childish about rude stuff 🤣

Boireannachlaidir · 27/06/2020 22:28

Is your name Finbar Saunders by any chance? Confused

Strange that was what you thought about first. Seems very juvenile?

Doyoumind · 27/06/2020 22:28

Only if I was a teenager. Otherwise I wouldn't give it a thought.

SusanBoils · 27/06/2020 22:31

I wouldn’t live at 13 or 666. Any other number would be fine!

PickAChew · 27/06/2020 22:33

It would entertain my inner 14 year old greatly.

Voice0fReason · 27/06/2020 22:33

69 sounds great to me!

Stillinbedat10am · 27/06/2020 22:34

A family member bought a house off-plan many years ago and ended up being allocated number 69. It caused a few raised eyebrows from my friends during my teenage years and apparently the same from friends of the generations who lived there before me. However they have been there now for nearly 69 years and the house has known so much happiness that I will always associate the door number with great memories!

In my previous life as an estate agent I worked in an area with a road name that started with cock. When we sold 69a on that road we heard more than a few sniggers down the phone but it certainly didn't put anybody off viewing it and we had many offers!

MintToBee · 27/06/2020 22:36

I used to live in 69. When I got a cab I'd say it's the brown house with the tree. 😂

Zisforstripyoss · 27/06/2020 22:37

I lived at number 69 for years, no one ever commented on it! There must be something else that you don't like or want about the house and that is just an excuse?

MushyPeasAreTheDevilsFood · 27/06/2020 22:37
Grin
Redglitter · 27/06/2020 22:39

Really? Don't be ridiculous

BikeRunSki · 27/06/2020 22:39

There's also a Penistone Road in London.

Penistone is my nearest town.

FredaFox · 27/06/2020 22:40

Nope, my postcode ends 1BJ
It's irrelevant

Lonelykettleshed · 27/06/2020 22:41

Not unless it was here - this was in the next village when I was growing up and as a teenager I couldn't believe people would live there.

Ah Space! Tune!

Bargainhuntbore · 27/06/2020 23:02

How old are you? Jeez.

Hopeful57 · 27/06/2020 23:05

No

VeniVidiWeeWee · 27/06/2020 23:11

But would you move to Gropecunt Lane?
