Seems ages since we had one of these.

Anyone up for another?

OP posts:
LadyGAgain · 16/07/2020 00:11

We create it.

How could we look after refugees/asylum seekers better (inspired by just watching Stateless on Netflix)?

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 17/07/2020 08:20

Not vote for politicians like Boris, Priti Patel etc.

I'm decorating the spare bedroom. What style of decor should I choose?

ChubRubfourteenfour · 17/07/2020 08:29

Vintage pink French wallpaper behind the bed, a very soft pink painted other walls, crisp white duvet.

If you could go back four months to the start of lock down, would you do it differently. (eg exercise and eat less - blush - )

Spied · 17/07/2020 08:58

I'd have got into a better routine with my DC and schoolwork. ( Boring-sorry!)

2 bed suite in a 3hotel or 1 bed(with sofabed) suite in a 4 ?
(I need your advice for next hold booking please).

Caramel78 · 17/07/2020 09:00

1 bed in a nicer hotel (unless you think you would all really struggle to sleep in the same room as a holiday is miserable with terrible sleep).

Milk, white or dark choc?

Spied · 17/07/2020 09:10

Has to be white. Any white is superior to milk or dark.

The last book you read?

StrangerSwings · 17/07/2020 09:23

Awful Auntie with my DD.

I'm still in bed 😳, what time did you get up this morning?

Clawdy · 17/07/2020 09:44

Nine o clock!

What's your dream job?

everywhichway · 17/07/2020 09:45

What's the bravest thing you've ever done?

OP posts:
AudTheDeepMinded · 17/07/2020 12:02

Stood in front of my drunk father at the age of 14, he had his fist raised and was about to punch my Mum. I got in between them, he didn't lower his fist.

What book have you reread the most, if at all?

BillywigSting · 17/07/2020 12:15

That's incredibly brave. I hope you and your mum managed to get away from him.

The hobbit. Read it first when I was ten then basically once a year since, so approximately 20 times now. I could probably recite half of it by now. Trying to convince ds to let me read it to him.

What was the last book you gave up on?

forgetthehousework · 17/07/2020 13:02

War and Peace ... again!

Do you think you could write a novel?

Planesmistakenforstars · 17/07/2020 13:54

The only way I could finish it was to skip the battle descriptions. I don't feel I missed out on anything.

No, I could't write a novel. I don't have the focus or concentration level.

What are you addicted to?

verybritishproblems · 17/07/2020 16:04

Cheese especially halloumi

What’s the last thing you arte?

verybritishproblems · 17/07/2020 16:04

Ate*

TheGoldenApplesOfTheSun · 17/07/2020 16:12

Some yoghurt as a mid-afternoon snack.

What are you growing in your garden?

everywhichway · 17/07/2020 16:28

Many, many things! Dahlias and roses doing particularly well right now.

Nice things that have happened to you this week?

OP posts:
BillywigSting · 17/07/2020 17:13

Got an unexpectedly high rate for an agency shift I picked up last minute, got paid today and rang the office to make sure it wasn't a mistake. Nope. Extra 1/3 of what I was expecting for the shift is mine. Having takeaway for tea tonight with extra. Also managed to get ds to listen to a bit of the hobbit and told I have very pretty eyes by a stranger (I always think my eyes are quite boring, a sort solid of rusty orange colour instead of deep brown like my mum, hazel like my dad or brilliant blue like dp).

What's for tea tonight in your house?

forgetthehousework · 17/07/2020 17:22

Goulash, cooked by my DH. It smells delicious ... (and will taste delicious too).

Are you going out at the weekend?

Spied · 17/07/2020 19:10

Getting haircut tomorrow afternoon. No plans for the rest of the day.
Sunday I'm going to make a roast and go for a walk around the local nature reserve with the DC. They enjoy looking for creatures and I enjoy seeing them run around.

Would you choose a weekend in the countryside or a weekend at the seaside?

Caramel78 · 17/07/2020 19:22

Ooh tricky. Probably countryside. I love the seaside but only if it’s not busy.

Who do you think is the most beautiful female celebrity?

BillywigSting · 17/07/2020 20:59

Gal Godot. She is completely intoxicating.

Who is the most beautiful person you have ever met?

LadyGAgain · 17/07/2020 21:16

One of my best friends. Met at 16. Now early 40's. Her smile is intoxicating and she's smart and her beauty is inside as well as out.

Rather than traditional PTA, how could we fund raise for the school?

Bluesheep8 · 18/07/2020 07:05

Encourage the children to do lots of different sponsored things.

What age is your mum?

wizzler · 18/07/2020 07:21

My mum is 80
