Holidaying with young kids

I have two little ones (3 and nearly 2) and we haven't taken them on holiday yet.
We're thinking next year so when they are 4 and 2.5 - 3yrs.

Where is good to go with young kids?

Or is going abroad when they are young a nightmare all together.

We went to Portugal... Salema beach resort when lo was 3. It was fab!!
Separate bedroom and huge living area and villas were close to beautiful, quiet beach which you could either drive or walk / catch golf cart to.
Was a bit of a drive from the airport but thoroughly recommend. Just need wet suit for cold pool Smile

I would definitely recommend travelling. Just get get yourself organised with little ones. Try look for short flights and hotel transfers. Keep your buggy with you right before you board the plane do not listen to the staff in the airport they offer to take it because it’s easier for THEM. My first trip was long haul with my DC under 2 and the flight going was hideous! Coming back it was a lot better. When DC got a bit older around 3 we went to Majorca and he was fab.

I've been taking DS abroad on my own since age 2. Balearic islands are good for that age, short flights.
