Finding a private doctor?

I am shortly returning to UK from living overseas and have a few health issues that I need to have a doctor for ASAP. My private medical cover will still be valid so wondering if that’s the easiest way to see someone?

If so any recommendations for gastro or internal medicine around Brighton who is seeing patients at the moment?

Call up a private hospital (eg Nuffield) and ask for a gastro doctor. They'll usually give you the secretary's number if they don't put you through. Make an appointment. Go to the appointment. I receive my bill afterwards. My only caveat is that some insurers want you to let them know in advance, I used to have this kind of policy also from when I returned from overseas and then they say which places you can go. UK based insurers generally insist you go via a GP for a referral which is a waste of time and resources.

The easest way is probably to book yourself in at the Nuffield or Montifiore. If you go on either website it’s really simple to search for a consultant by speciality and location, and to book an appointment.

Only thing is, most private hospitals aren’t doing face to face appointments ATM so would be phone/video consultation.
