What is this awful pain in toe?

I've recently had tendonitis in my foot but it's much better now. However today maybe about 20 times I've suddenly had this excruciating pain shoot up my toe. One next to big toe. Same foot as the tendonitis. The pain is so awful it makes me cry out in pain. It lasts less than a second. What is it? Is it tendonitis?? Or something else??

I dont know what it is but I get the same thing, left foot, toe next to big one. Very painful, assumed it was something to do with nerves?

Yes it feels like nerve pain.

Sounds like Morton's Neuroma. I have this and it was always takes me by surprise. Weirdly mine is worse when in loose shoes or barefoot.

What can be done about it? Been just as bad today. I've never known pain like it!

Drink plenty of water. Eat some celery or cherries.
