Weekend Plans?

I seriously can’t believe it’s Friday again! Since lockdown the weeks have flown by. It’s nearly July but seems 5 minutes since the end of March. What we do this weekend depends on the weather - the forecast says rain but if it’s nice we will take DD to the beach for some bodyboarding. She’s generally not at all sporty but comes alive in the water. Indoor BBQ tonight, chippy tea tomorrow & homemade cottage pie on Sunday. May go to buy paint for DD’s bedroom. DSIL & DNiece ( what’s the abbreviation for that?) are down so will arrange to meet up with them. I need to repaint my toenails.

Weather looks rubbish here. I will no doubt go another walk.

I’m SO excited!! Seeing my very good friend tomorrow who I’ve not seen for months obviously. I’ve missed her so much.
I’ve the day to myself so might mooch around the shops afterwards.
Working a double shift on Sunday so need to gear up for that. Sad

Zoom call with my best friends later tonight and M&S four cheese ravioli for dinner - no doubt a bottle of Prosecco will go down well with that.
See my dad Saturday.
Chill out Sunday and work again on Monday.
I'm not planning on seeing anyone else until I see what happens with the new relaxing rules.
My dad is my top priority and I'm not risking his health!

Literally bugger all! The weekends don’t even feel like weekends during all of this. Miss the days where we actually did stuff.

Planning to wake up early tomorrow and drop DP at work so I can have the car for the day. Then have a pootle around Primark, B&M, Dunelm etc. We’re having our garden redone in a few weeks and DP wants it to be Moroccan themed so I’m on the lookout for cushions, rugs, lamps and similar.

Then Sunday I’m meeting up with friends for a picnic in central London. Just praying the toilets near the park are open so I can drink without worrying about having to run home for a wee! Trying to find a mutually convenient location to meet up was quite hard and I’ve ended up being the one with furthest to travel

I'm working. I'm thrilled the forecast is bad, our job will be a lot easier if it rains Wink

BrandyandBabycham · 26/06/2020 16:16

turnedouttoes - hope you want it to be Moroccan style too, not just DP

We actually have plans this weekend! For the first time in months!

Meeting up with SIL and family in a nearby lovely quiet city for a walk down the river and round the cathedral grounds. Can't wait!

weegiemum · 26/06/2020 16:54

Not a lot planned. Dh has been off work with stress and dc who still live at home are both at a bit of a loose end and the days just blur into one another!

I was about to start making Spanish chicken for tea when dh decreed that as he'd just been paid we will be having Indian takeaway. Glad he said it before I started chopping up tomatoes! I'm currently sitting in the garden with a glass of wine watching dd2s rabbits bounce around, dog is asleep at my feet.

We will do a food shop tomorrow and need a trip to The Range so will probably combine the two. Not big into shopping in general and most shops aren't open till Monday here anyway.

Chinese followed by socially distanced drinks in my garden with friends.
A walk by the canal tomorrow regardless of the weather.

Hopefully my last weekend of furloughed so making the most of it
