Things are really shit right now. Bad news coming left right and centre. Please share your happy things before I spiral into a dark pit of anxiety and depression (not exaggerating).

Anything cheerful, no matter how trivial, would be good :) or does nobody have anything happy to share?

I get paid in 5 days! Most if it going towards bills and stuff but I'll have some most again...YAYYY! also it's Friday and it's sunny (from what I can see in my office)! 😀🌞

My toddler has finally realised he needs to wee on the potty not the rug.

LuvMyBoyz · 26/06/2020 12:47

My son and DIL have put down a deposit on a new build only 7 miles away from us. For the past few years they have lived 3 hours away so it will be great to have them so close.

I got up today and found some teeny tiny courgettes had appeared on my courgette plant, they have made me very happy 😊!

Lived here 5 years and dh has at last done the decking and covered it in fake bloody grass - looks awful imo but it has coaxed a teen out of her bedroom to sunbathe on it!!

I have a squirrel who visits my garden every morning. If there’s no nuts in the bird feeder he taps at the patio door until I feed him.

Pinkglittery · 26/06/2020 13:04

I'm pregnant!!

RanchoRelaxo · 26/06/2020 13:07

My DD has just gone for a nap, so I'm watching friends with a hot cup of tea and some haribo! Bliss!

The amazon man got the giggles when he asked my DOB for an over-18 purchase.

Howmanysleepsnow · 26/06/2020 13:09

@Pinkglittery Congratulations!

mildlymiffed · 26/06/2020 13:09

OP Flowers
I've been for a walk with my DS to visit the moorhen babies in a pond near us. They are all cute and fuzzy and are getting brave venturing out of the nest. Aww

Hedgesfullofbirds · 26/06/2020 13:11

We have been promised some wonderful thunderstorms and rain, to break the awful intense heat and humidity, and a return to cooler, more pleasant temperatures

My 11 month old is standing unaided for the first time and is super proud of herself!

SkiingIsHeaven · 26/06/2020 13:15

I have decided to take the afternoon off and I'm eating a Solero in the sunshine. Happy days.

  1. My year 1 teacher (lovely, lovely woman) has somehow come up as a suggested friend on Facebook. In the background of her profile picture of her in her living room, there's a little wonky painted clay mug which I made for her when I was 5. I will be 42 in August and have just had a bit of a cry at that.
