Someone advertised something on a selling group for £20. I knew it was worth much more so snapped it up. I've now had many offers to buy the item for £150.

Should I offer the original seller some more money?

It's not really a moral dilemma, it's just business, but on a small scale. If it had been a friend or someone obviously in need, then yes, but in your specific situation, go for it.

Actually I don't agree with you in your case @zingally If I knew it was a charity then I'd probably give them a call and let them know to give them a chance to properly value the item. I know everyone won't, but I think that situation is different.

Ok, so it looks like the general consensus is don't contact the original seller.

I'm still not 100% on whether to keep or sell. I'll probably hold on to it for a few months and see if I use it, then I may sell it on if I'm not using it.

FWIW, I was luck enough to get a baby carrier stupidly cheap which they were being sold off in TK Maxx, people went to TK Max deliberately looking for these carriers as each shop got one, they were being sold at £130 less than retail. When I finished using it, I sold it on for what I paid, even though I could have got double or triple that (as some people just bought them to sell on).
