Hello

Currently on week 4 and wearing old pair of NB trainers.

I want to buy a new pair of trainers any advice?

I currently wear a UK size 8.

Thanks 😊

Depends on your feet - do they roll in or roll out when you run?
If you can get a gait analysis done in one of the sports shops it's well worth it

Definitely get a gait analysis, most running shops do this for a small fee if not buying shoes from them or for free if you are. From there you can choose which shoes are correct for your gait.

I was thinking about having gait analysis it sounds like it us worth it.

What is a sensible price for trainers?

It completely depends on your feet. I have a pair of Brooks trail shoes, which I believe cost about £115. But I used to run quite seriously (pre-dc) and I know what shoes I need for my feet (I had a lot of advice when I first started running like a decade ago).

I would say for a new runner I would look in the region of £75-100 for decent shoes. You can get a lot of mileage out of a good pair of running shoes if you treat them well (2 years ish). But definitely recommend the gait analysis. It's worth it to get something that is right for you.

Thanks everyone I will organise an appointment at the local store for gait analysis and then get them fitted Smile
