Is there a problem with international post currently?

I’ve sent a few items of post to France and Germany at the start of this month, none of which have arrived. It would normally take about 5 days so just wondered if anyone else has noticed problems?

Yes. I’ve been waiting for a delivery from America and two from China for several months. It’s really bad.

An item from Spain, sent in March, never came.
Husband's parcel from Spain in May took several weeks, but the first was peak pandemic.

@lilyboleyn gosh I hope it’s nothing to important that you’re waiting for. I suppose flights are reduced so that might have an impact? Maybe they quarantine post??

One of them is from dipsy nails which has been almost ruined by the delay in posting. If you google them you can read the statement - apparently mail providers have been pretending there’s no problem whilst there secretly is. And the fact that all three of my parcels are MIA kinda backs that up.

I send letters and postcards internationally and they’ve all arrived - including USA, Germany & Russia. Perhaps parcel deliveries are having a more sporadic service?

We've sent a parcel to sil in Canada and it would usually take a week - that's been about 3 weeks now and it still hasn't arrived.

Parcels to Canada are taking around 4 weeks to arrive --- normally would only be a few days.
Cards and letters are getting there within a week.

A birthday card to Australia took 5 weeks.....

I think there is, I sent a small parcel to Australia from France on the 22nd April and it still hasn't arrived

Yes, I've had problems with sending items to Germany twice. Took over a month both times.

Possibly worldwide talking to family awaiting international parcels
I ordered something yesterday and told the delay will be two weeks due to reduced flights here in Nz
Most of our online clothing websites and couriers have delay notices for months

I'm not even sure they're accepting parcels for international delivery where I live, except to a neighbouring country.
I've had business post from UK quickly, letters and small packets have arrived on time. Letters and packets I've sent to the UK have all taken double the time they should have.
