How bad does your hay fever get?

DH is currently in bed because his hay fever is so bad.

I am wfh with 2 young dc. MIL lives in the annexe so she is helping.

I don’t suffer from hay fever so I can’t relate.

Is it really bad enough to relegate you to your bed? He’s even wearing the dressing gown of doom despite the heat.

I want to be sympathetic, please tell me I should be.

Mine has been bad this year, particularly yesterday and today.

I've just opened MN to see whether anyone had any answers or alternative cures.

I feel like I've got Flu, I'm taking prescription antihistamines, painkillers and I still feel dreadful.

Haven't been in bed all day but did have a lie in because I only had work this afternoon.

So yes, hay fever can be really bad. The good news is, depending where you live we're forecast rain in the next few days. That should improve things.

Sorry OP Thanks

It can be absolutely awful!

The whites of my eyes swell up, I get hives, my chest gets tight, I sneeze all day, I get migraines and sinus pain, feel like I have flu in terms of aches, get a sore and itchy throat, and nose doesnt stop running. Its hideous.

I took codeine before bed last night the head pain was so bad. And I am on max strength prescription Fexofenadine.

I had to take codeine for headache last night too. On top of anti histamines. Woke up at 10am feeling like I'd been drugged. awful.

He’s feeling better today. Got the meds in early and he even ventured outside.
