Blocked on what's app question

If someone blocks you on what's app, can you still see their profile picture? I've Googled and the answers are contradictory- some say you can't see it if blocked (it reverts to the grey silhouette), others that you can still see it, but you won't see any future updates to it.

The person in question, I can still see their profile picture but their 'available' status has disappeared. They always have last seen switched off, so I can't go by that.

Sorry to sound like a teenager, but this is someone I'm in low contact with, so I don't want to send an unnecessary message to see if it goes through or not, iyswim!

No you can't see their photo if your blocked

They've just removed their status

If u delete someone from WhatsApp (but not block) can they still see your photo, does anyone know?

@donewithlove you need to delete them as a contact and then go to settings and select only contacts can see profile pic
