Can't sleep for pain. Had a shoulder arthroscopy today and pain killers aren't touching it 😭

Oh poor you, if you're in hospital press the bell, but if you're home you could ring the ward for advice. Hope you feel better soon, and wishing you a speedy recovery Flowers

I'm at home. It was a day surgery thing and they are shut. It says to ring A&E but I'm. A bit loathed to as they are busy.

I've got paracetamol, codeine and brufen and taken the doses but it's constantly throbbing and aching.

Probably nothing i can do till morning. I'm just moaning i think. Worst part is the sodding nerve bock hasn't even gone yet

Thanks for you. Shoulder ops are the worst. I regretted mine the week after because of the pain but a few months down the line it was as good as new. Hang on in there.

sideorderofchips · 24/06/2020 02:43

Just taken one codeine to try and ease it so I can sleep. As can only take so many painkillers a day I'm a bit worried about taking them at night as. I won't be aver to use them uh the day. I think I'll call sat surgery tomorrow and get their advise. Letter says to call A&E if its an emergency which this sint really

If it's hurting enough to keep you awake, ild fuss until they helped you feel better. You deserve not to be in pain, though admire your stoicism!

sideorderofchips · 24/06/2020 03:14

I know it sounds awful but I'm glads are back to school tomorrow. There is no way I can rest with my 4 and 9 year old at home!

Another awake one here!! 🙋‍♀️ If it's muscular pain would a warm pack (hot water bottle) help? Or if it's swollen and uncomfortable a cold pack? Sorry you're awake and feeling shite!

sideorderofchips · 24/06/2020 03:30

It's like a constant Dull ache that turns into a sharp pain when I move. The nerve block is wear off which doesn't help. And pain is radiating down my whole arm

Honestly I have had 3 c section's, 2 lots of metal work to broken bones and this is the worst pain. I'm getting to be a wuss as I get older I think

Just made myself some. Nutella on toast. Might as well eat if Im awake

ShopTattsyrup · 24/06/2020 03:35

Medicinal Nutella sounds like a quality decision! :)

Not my area of expertise but if it's irritated and inflamed from them having a poke around in there bag of frozen peas might take the edge off? X

sideorderofchips · 24/06/2020 03:43
