@daisychain1620

Good luck to you. I'm currently going through exactly the same as you at the minute, I'm trying to hold off testing for a couple of days but the wait is horrendous.
It's strange Isent it ?? I've heard lots about first response and a lot of people swear by them yet not so much as a line had so many positives off Asda thought I'd try the cheap ones and got lines too so first response have failed me which led me to read there reviews which weren't so good ConfusedI'm going to try again tomorrow with some other tests I think as I'm a compulsive tester , are yours coming up like mine then ?, x

I got faint lines with first response a few times and boots own brand twice but got nothing with our local chemists own brand. I used a Clear blue digital but got a negative too. I have tested so many times it ridiculous! The Amazon delivery guy and I are on first name terms lol.
It's so confusing when one says one thing then the opposite with another. I'm afraid it's a chemical pregnancy in my case but I'm awaiting another drivery from Amazon tomorrow.......
I wish you all the best and hopefully you'll get those lines your wishing for xxx

I'm the same, I've even kept the ones I've used to keep checking them (although I know that you shouldn't pay attention to them after a certain amount of time.)
I have no idea when my period is due or anything like that as I'm on the pill so the first faint positive was a shock to me. I was frantically peeing on tests over a week but the last ones didn't get much darker hence my chemical conclusion however I've had no bleeding or signs of it.
I'll test tomorrow to make sure but really feel like it'll be negative.
Sorry to have jumped on your thread here.
I wish you the best of luck x

daisychain1620 · 24/06/2020 21:25

Also your line looks coloured to me so not indicating an evap

Those last photos you posted of the dip test definitely look like the start of a positive, that’s how mine looked at 9dpo with every pregnancy. I’m was also a serial tester and there is definitely a difference between a very faint line and an evap. (I’ve had both) The main thing I noticed was that a faint positive will start to show within a minute no matter how faint where as an evap will take around 10. Good luck

Teakind · 25/06/2020 12:14

@tinkerbell999 hey, how are you getting on? Any darker this morning?

tinkerbell999 · 25/06/2020 12:32

Hi very strange had a lighter one this morning with fmu but I drank quite a lot last night I'm really not sure now 🤷‍♀️ will test again later as mine tend to be darker as the day goes on so will keep my eye on them xx

I'm at my wits end with it all now as I would of thought they would get stronger as soon as hcg is present I hope it's not yet another chemical 😫 x

@tinkerbell999 the uncertainty is horrible isn’t it. Could you perhaps have your hcg levels measured by blood tests? I did that privately (was about £40 I think) as I’ve got a history of miscarriages and wanted to check how things were progressing.

I suppose I could request one with the doctor although I do y know if to just wait had a negative with a cheapy and just done another with a vvf line so I'm even more confused than I was here is the test I've just done for you to see cane up straight away but faint would of thought they would be getting darker as the days go on I've also had 4 miscarriages waiting to start progesterone see if that helps but reluctant to call hospital in case it's a chemical x

Fingers crossed for you tinkerbell.

Teakind · 25/06/2020 16:41

@tinkerbell999 I can see it. I’d call your doctor and explain. They may think there is no harm in starting progesterone just in case.

Have they discussed taking it from ovulation rather than positive test?

No lovely I've not even had any tests yet what with COVID been waiting to see gynaecologist and have a telephone consultation she's sending all forms out for me and my partner to have bloods done etc .. but just said if and when u get a positive test ring us up and she will prescribe progesterone and aspirin I'm really hoping it works as I've had one after the other now :( and I've already got 2 children so I don't understand what's going wrong have you had yours investigated ? X

Teakind · 25/06/2020 17:51

@tinkerbell999 ah I see! I had loads of tests but I’ve got two kids now. Going to be trying for number 3 imminently so we are in similar boats.

I took baby aspirin and progesterone with both of my pregnancies that lasted. I got told I have high NK cells so took steroids when pregnant with my DD. I didn’t with my DS as was a bit dubious of it all by then.

I hope you get the tests soon and get answers. I’d def call your GP though and ask if you should start taking them now just in case.

tinkerbell999 · 25/06/2020 17:58

Bless you sounds like you been through a lot it's so hard isent it I've got a 20 year old I started young and a 9 year old son so I do feel incredibly lucky but I'm 38 and feel like I really just want the one more I do have thyroid issues which I'm being treated for so I'm hoping if I am with treatment that things will go well this time... I hope you get caught soon and will have a healthy pregnancy .. I will keep you updated x

OP posts:
MsMeNz · 25/06/2020 18:10

I'd say that's posative, if you left it too long to read though it could be evaporation lines that sometimes form in tests. Say if you saw no faint line for a few minutes or more then a very faint one I'd say evaporation blinds, but if they went faint within the timings the test said then it's posative I'd say. Looks like congratulations?

Teakind · 25/06/2020 21:34

@tinkerbell999 I totally understand. One thing about thyroid issues was I was told TSH should be 2.5 or under for fertility purposes (which is lower than in general I think). I've just remembered I was on levothyroxine to get my levels done before I had my DD. If only having a baby was as easy as some people make it look : ) Good luck and keep us updated x

tinkerbell999 · 26/06/2020 14:39

Update ladies just had a spot of brown blood when I wiped so think that's me out must of been another chemical loss 🙄 don't seem to get very far along anymore x

OP posts:
daisychain1620 · 26/06/2020 17:28

Oh noSad. Maybe it's just spotting and hopefully won't get heavier.
Really hope it's not bad news for you

Teakind · 26/06/2020 18:20

From a hopeful perspective, could it be implantation? Sorry if it is another chemical.
