Question - you know those oatcakes and crackers

...that come in a box with individually wrapped packets of six inside?

Do you eat all six at once?

I wish they came in fours. I’ll often take a pack to work and end up eating all six when four would have been enough. If I leave two they go soft or break and I end up chucking them away.

Is six in one go greedy?

I eat three at a time with peanut butter.

Maybe I should find a little Tupperware or something to store the rest...

I eat 2/3 and then use a bag seal.

I usually eat them in ones or twos but I quite like it when they go soft.

Well OP it’s very very easy to eat more than 2/3! I’m normally only saved by splitting a pack with DH. Definitely can get to 2 without really thinking and before you know it you’ve had 4 and there’s only 2 left and in for a penny etc etc. Reckon you should help yourself out by only taking 4 to work in a box as you say.

LunaNorth · 23/06/2020 15:53

@popsiepiekin that’s my thought process right there. I need them to be bagged up in threes so my willpower is kept out of it.

Waitrose's oat crackers come in packs of 4, and they're super delicious even on their own.

But yes, 6 is not too many! Blush

LunaNorth · 23/06/2020 16:04

Ooh, are the Waitrose ones gluten free?

I thought about this today as I ate the fourth Ryvita in the little clear packet. I didn't need that fourth one, I didn't really want it but it would have gone stale otherwise and there was only a little bit of smoked salmon and cream cheese left as well. So I finished all of them off.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I really need to shift some of the lockdown lard, and these little extra bits here and there aren’t helping.

Sigh...

I love the Nairns finely milled ones. I consider them the equivalent of chocolate!! I have 2 or three with a thin slice of cheese. Then pop the rest in a bag and back in the box or just se with sellotape in the plastic then come in. They’ve never gone soggy but then they’re never around for long!!

I've got a nice ryvita tin to keep all my crackers fresh. I find the little packets really annoying!
